    Resident

    Cambodian natural persons with valid ID Card/Passport

    Foreigner Individuals:

  • Has a residence in Cambodia
  • Has a principle place of abode in Cambodia
  • Is physical present in Cambodia for more than 182 days in any 12 months of period ending in the current tax year.

    • Any Cambodian civil servants on foreign assignments, regardless of the length of their stay.

    Non-Resident

    Individuals of Cambodian nationality, who have had their main professional activity or their main residence abroad for a period of and over one hundred and eighty-two days (182 days).

    Foreign individuals, who have had their main professional activity or their main residence in the Kingdom of Cambodia for less than 182 days in any 12 months of period ending in the current tax year.

    Foreign civil servants on diplomatic or similar assignments in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

    Note: In case that the non-resident account holder meets the criteria of being a Resident, they are able to request for changing the status from non-resident to resident at the bank counter.
